Diverse range of oils is useful for culinary and therapeutic purposes. One such oil is the oil extracted from Babassu Palms that has magic cures to a lot of skin ailments and can also be used for cooking. With the onset of colder climates or due to lack of moisture (chapped, scaly skin), skin and hair may suffer terribly. Oils and creams may not give you the desired results as they tend to make skin texture extremely oily. Babassu palm grows in Brazil’s Amazon region and its oil has been used since centuries by the local women.
Babassu Oil is a wonderful natural ingredient quite similar to coconut oil, melting gently on the skin even though it appears to be hard in room temperature (except in our tropical country). One of the advantages of this oil is that it never dries up the skin even after hours of using it. For edible and cosmetic uses, this oil is equally efficient. |
Babassu oil works especially well to soothe skin irritations like eczema or itchy, inflamed skin. You can also add a little of the oil to your current conditioners, shampoo or body wash for an extra moisturizing boost.
Babassu oil is also said to contain an abundant quantity of antioxidants and vitamin E, known to improve overall skin health. Acne is another common skin problem said to be alleviated with the use of Babassu oil. The light, mild moisturizer is also said to be non-comedogenic, meaning it should not clog pores. This natural oil is also said to have anti-inflammatory qualities known to be useful in soothing redness and irritation. Babassu Oil Skin Benefits

Directions for use:
Squeeze 2-3 drops of Babassu Oil onto your fingertips and rub your fingers together. Pat on your face and let the oil get absorbed into your skin naturally. No need to massage the oil in, just pat your fingers all around your face avoiding the eye area.
For your hair, apply 3-4 drops (or depends on your hair length) from the center to the tips, or massage on your scalp directly.
NOTE: Because our oil is 100% pure and has been cold-pressed, it is not deodorized so it smells nutty but will go away after application after it has been absorbed by the skin/hair.
